Suspension Yoga

HIGHLIGHTS

Aerial, Beginner-friendly

Instead of performing yoga poses on a mat, suspension yoga utilises a silk hammock or sling that is suspended from the ceiling to perform those same movements. The purpose of the hammock is to provide support through your yoga flow, while also improving flexibility and range of motion. The hammock, sling or silk also takes pressure off certain areas of the body like the head and shoulders, allowing you to reach those more challenging poses like headstands with greater ease. Suspension yoga offers several physical and psychological benefits: Improved flexibility, stability, strength and balance. It also promotes a better blood circulation and relieves from neck and back pain. Suspension yoga might look technical, but it’s actually super accessible and very beginner-friendly.

Elodie Covella

Aerial, Beginner-friendly

The first time I came in touch with yoga was after a traumatic incident at the beginning of 2018. I traveled to Sri Lanka, which completely changed my perspective on life. This is where I discovered my love for yoga and it developed into a passion, a way of life. For me, a perfect day starts with a morning meditation, followed by an Asana practice to start the day filled with energy. I started working as a yoga teacher in 2021 and quickly discovered that there was nothing better for me than transmitting my love for yoga and sharing it with my students. I have worked for 4 studios in Luxembourg over the course of the last two years and I am specialised in Vinyasa, Power Vinyasa, Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Kaula Tantra Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Aerial Yoga.
